ratedBuildR Return Policy

This Return Policy is governed by and incorporates the ratedBuildR Shop Agreement and the main ratedBuildR Terms of Use.

ratedBuildR understands the importance of choosing the right product for your project. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase from https://shop.ratedbuildr.com, you may return the merchandise to us within 30 days of the purchase date, subject to the conditions and exceptions below.

30-Day Return Policy

To be eligible for a full refund, you must return the merchandise within 30 days of purchase with a valid sales receipt. We reserve the right to limit or deny any returns or exchanges in our sole discretion.

  • Returns After 30 Days or Without a Receipt: For returns made after 30 days or without a valid sales receipt, we may, at our sole discretion, provide a refund in the form of merchandise credit at the product’s lowest recent selling price. A valid, government-issued photo ID is required for all such returns.
  • Refund Processing and Timeline: Please allow 7-10 business days for us to receive your return. Upon receipt, we will inspect the item(s) to ensure they meet the conditions outlined in this policy. This inspection process may take an additional 5-7 business days. Once your return is approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 7-10 business days, depending on your financial institution.
  • Refund Method: All returns are subject to a third-party refund verification system. Once approved:
    • Returns within 30 days with a receipt will be processed to the original method of payment.
    • Returns over 30 days or without a receipt will be processed to a merchandise credit.
    • Returns over $500.00 where the original payment was cash or check will be processed as a refund by mail via check.

Condition of Returned Merchandise

For a return to be accepted, all merchandise must meet the following conditions:

  • Undamaged and Resalable: All returned merchandise must be undamaged and in a clean, resalable condition.
  • Original Packaging Required: Returns must be unopened and in the original manufacturer’s packaging and quantity. For example, if an item is purchased by the box, it must be returned by the box.

Return Shipping Costs

ratedBuildR will provide a prepaid return label if the return is a result of our error (e.g., you received an incorrect item). For all other returns, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to refuse to provide a prepaid label or to deduct the cost of return shipping from the refund if we determine that the return reason is invalid. This includes, but is not limited to, instances where the correct item was received but claimed to be incorrect, the item has been used or installed, or the item is not returned in its original, resalable condition as agreed.

IMPORTANT: INSTALLED MERCHANDISE CANNOT BE RETURNED

Once a product has been installed, it is considered the property of the owner/installer and cannot be returned or exchanged for any reason. Thoroughly inspect all products for accuracy and damage before installation, as use will constitute acceptance. ratedBuildR is not responsible for product defects, property damage, or lost labor costs due to faulty installation. Claims for shipping damage or shortages must be made upon receipt of the product, in accordance with our Damages Policy.

Exceptions and Special Categories

  • Special Orders: Special order items (products not regularly stocked) that are not custom-made may be returned but are subject to a minimum 20% restocking fee. The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
  • Custom Orders: Products that are custom-made or fabricated to your specifications are non-refundable and non-returnable once processing has begun. An order is considered in processing once we have started ordering specific materials for the order or have begun fabrication.
  • Clearance Items : All items marked as “Clearance” or “Final Sale” are sold as-is and cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • Individual Pieces: Individual pieces may be returned only if they were purchased as a “sample” as indicated on the sales receipt.

Damaged Shipments

DO NOT REFUSE DELIVERY OF ANY SHIPMENT. If you receive a shipment with visible damage, you must accept the delivery and make a note of the damage on the carrier’s proof of delivery receipt. Then, follow the procedure outlined in our Damages Policy. Claims for shipping damage must be reported to Customer Care within 48 hours of delivery and must be accompanied by photographic evidence. If a shipment is refused for any reason other than being an incorrect order, you will be responsible for all applicable shipping and freight fees, which will be deducted from your refund.

How to Initiate a Return

To initiate a return for an online order, please contact our Customer Care team at Office@ratedBuildR.com to receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and further instructions.
